Georgia Legal Services Program
Founded in 1971, Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) is a nonprofit law firm funded in part by Legal Services Corporation. We provide civil legal services to Georgians in the 154 counties outside metro-Atlanta whose earnings do not exceed 200% of the federal poverty line or are over the age of 60. We have 80 attorneys in ten regional offices. Our attorneys help clients navigate the civil legal system, providing legal advice, representation in court, and opportunities out of poverty. Practice areas vary across the state. Our most common practice areas include consumer; education; family law including divorce, custody, and temporary protective orders; housing law including landlord-tenant, subsidized housing, and mortgage foreclosure; farm worker's rights; and public benefits including food stamps, unemployment, and Social Security benefits.
