Kia Mitchell, M.D. is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. After graduating with honors from Episcopal High School, she attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Mitchell graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology Pre-Med and subsequently received a scholarship to attend the University of Miami, School of Medicine. After receiving her Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree, she returned home to Jacksonville, Florida and completed her residency training in Family Medicine. Prior to joining Families First Medical Group, she spent 8 years as an attending physician with EmCare Emergency Group and the Titan Emergency Group. In her spare time, Dr. Mitchell, enjoys attending sporting events, live music concerts, cooking and traveling. She is happily married and enjoys spending time with their with their four children, stepson Charles III (Tre'), sons Jace & Uriah and daughter Paija.
